ACCESS
TO INDIANA STATE CRIMINAL RECORDS
To
find out if an
individual has a criminal record in the
state
of Indiana we check the state repository, the relevant
county criminal court records, and civil
court records.
|
|
| The
Indiana State Repository limits access to Felony
and Misdemeanor convictions ONLY. |
|
| Signed
release is NOT required. |
|
| State
records contain information submitted to the State
of Indiana from each county and other criminal
justice agencies. Records are updated monthly.
Seventy-five
(75) of Indiana's ninety-two (92) counties
reported that criminal records are available by
mail or phone. If the county specified can only
mail records back to us then there will be an
unavoidable delay.
All criminal search request as we
as request to search civil cases involving
amounts of $30,00 or more should be directed to
the Court Clerk. Always specify the type of
search desired so that the request will be
forwarded to all appropriate
departments.
|
|
| Records
are available for convictions dating from 1930 to
today. Prior to 1930, searches can be
conducted by Federal or County records.
|
|
| Cost is
$23 per individual searched statewide and $20
for a county criminal record. |
|
| Delivery
Time: Turnaround time is approximately 14 business days
for statewide searches. It only takes approximately
3-5 business days for a county criminal record. Results are e-mailed to you, or faxed on
request. We cannot guarantee turnaround time as we
are dependent on the state getting back to us in a
timely fashion. If the county, or counties,
specified can only mail records back to us then
there will be an unavoidable delay. |
